Attention Indian travelers planning a short trip to Hong Kong! The Indian Consulate General in Hong Kong has issued an important update regarding entry requirements.
Pre-Arrival Registration is Mandatory
As of now, all Indian citizens planning a visit of up to 14 days to Hong Kong must complete an online Pre-Arrival Registration (PAR) before departure. This registration is free, valid for six months, and allows for multiple entries.
What You Need to Know
- The information provided during PAR registration must exactly match your passport details.
- Print a copy of your approved PAR on A4 paper and carry it with you.
- Ensure your passport has at least six months validity remaining.
- Have confirmed return or onward flight tickets.
- Book and confirm your hotel accommodation.
- Prepare documentation proving the purpose of your visit (e.g., business meeting, sightseeing).
- Demonstrate sufficient financial resources for your stay.
Registration Doesn’t Guarantee Entry
A successful PAR doesn’t automatically grant entry into Hong Kong. Hong Kong Immigration authorities have the right to deny entry if you fail to meet all requirements.
Avoid Inconvenience, Follow the Rules
Not complying with these regulations can lead to denied entry and being forced to return to India on the same airline. To avoid such hassle and delays, the Indian Consulate General urges all Indian nationals to strictly follow the guidelines set by the Hong Kong government.
