Kochi has taken a historic step towards sustainable and scenic commuting with the launch of its water metro ferries on April 21st, 2024. This much-anticipated service connects the High Court with the popular tourist destination of Fort Kochi.

Connecting Tourists and Residents:
- Fort Kochi gains convenient access with ferries running every 20-30 minutes between 7 AM and 7 PM.
- Affordable fares of INR 40 per person make this a scenic and budget-friendly travel option.
A Sustainable Solution:
- The 14th ferry, recently delivered by Cochin Shipyard, joins the growing fleet, fulfilling a partial order of 23 ferries placed by Kochi Metro Rail Limited (KMRL).
- KMRL expects the water metro to significantly reduce traffic congestion in this popular tourist destination.
Leading the Way:

- The addition of Fort Kochi as the ninth terminal expands the reach and connectivity of this eco-friendly network.
